Well I am a certified big boy now, I weigh in at 30lbs! I had a little bit of help with all the good food my parents have been giving me and the Doc’s suggestions. I ate my way though my last bag of Wolf Cub and since the Docs thought my tummy may still be tender to the bacterial infection I am now on a pure I/D kibble diet. I liked it as soon as I tasted it and my parents starting using less bags (if you know what I mean?) within 24 hours.

I had two trips to water this week. One day Dad and I walked over ½ hour to get to a beach only to find it posted for not swimming. That’s OK as it was not a hot day and I really enjoyed the walk. Another day we drove for an hour (good trip in my big crate-looking forward to another) and what do I see travel up the St. Lawrence- but Greenpeace’s Artic Sunrise (I don’t know anything about the boat but everyone in attendance was impressed so I thought that I would mention it). I’m looking forward to checking this beach out again, I really like being at the cottage!

All this travel makes me want to sleep (on another new bed).

The young fellow beside me is cousin Noah. He visited me for two days and he was so nice I did not even try to eat him. He went to the lake with me and watched as I got my tummy wet. The lake should be fun but I’m not sure yet how far in I want to go but it sure does taste great. I have been into my pool but not enough water to drink there as Dad only put in a couple of inches. I think next week I will ask him not to be so cheap, but then his Mastercard has been given quite a chewing by me.I am now up to 24 pounds and on the good side Mom does not have to carry me downstairs in the morning and forget about night calls I am a big guy now. The school even moved me from being with the small students and now I'm with the big boys and girls. I like the Great Danes but then I like everybody even if they are not a dog. I had a very busy couple of days. On Monday, I got my first haircut and on Tuesday I went to the vets for my finals. There were many visitors at the house too, I met mommy's friends, Greg, Karen and a new person Betty-Anne. I think I'll take a nap now as I find it very hard to sit on this chair and type all that has been going on with me. I'll keep you up to date.

I’m almost there, I now weigh 21 lbs. A lot has happened so here it is in no particular order. I got a new Big Boy bed, I wasn’t sleeping very good as it was too hot so we ordered a new big boy bed, on line and it was delivered the next day! This is just my day bed, the other is HUGE. Now I am sleeping all night long (sounds like a great name for a song!). I only get up when Mom does and she takes me out if I sit up by the back door. I got to see my Auntie Sue again. She visited me when I was just about 5 weeks but I have grown 3xs that now. I met my very first PWD that I wasn’t related to. He was a 5 year old male named Marley We had a great time playing until I got a little nippy and he growled at me to go away. But then we played again. I hope that I get to be as nice looking and calm as he is (my mom told me to write that part, she liked the calm part). I met my groomer and got a peticure, a full moon moment when you have to get hair cut off your hands. School! What is this? Lots of fun with 11 other kids. They all smelled so nice. The drag is homework.

Hello.avi

HI! This week I have a stock tip for you - Nylabone® Buy up all you can then resell them to my parents. They seem to think they can save on the furniture bills by keeping me busy with them. What they do not know is I am not really interested in the furniture but I just play with their minds to get more bones and it works. I also have them trained to take me outside whenever I sit at the back door.

Saw the Doc again this week but for a good reason – I got my shots. Plus she did a front end suspension check-up. I am back climbing stairs and now even know how to go down with the words slow always in my ears and hands to ensure I maintain a leisurely pace. I have been to the park everyday and also got to see the lake. I know I tried to leave home and swim to Kingston but it looks a lot bigger than I remember and the stones are not painted blue. Once I figure some things out I will give the water a try.

Lots of meets and greets. Hi Pete, looking forward to meeting Arizona. Also Hi to Angel, Bas, Charlie, Barney and all the others. Getting shots was cool now I can meet all these guys and girls.

Let me start off by saying, it’s not as bad as it reads and NO my parents are not overly protective just concerned. On Monday I was finished breakfast (which I must say sits better on the tummy since I have been getting those hard core appetizers) and just coming in from the bathroom. Got the necessary paw cleaning then off leash heading for the living room when I lost it. Even with wide webbed feet I could not get traction on the kitchen floor and did a sprawled face plant trying to make the corner. When I got up the front right one did not work properly. Inspections were done and phone calls made. Off to the standby Doc (dang missed the 6am news). Apparently I sprained my front right ankle and have to be watched, plus no stair climber for 2 weeks. Great I get carried up and down and I love it. Darn Doc warned them that I am so smart that I may trick them for the sympathy. By lunch I gave up on the limp but I still enjoy the extra paw and ankle rubs and the carrying up and down the stairs. Grandma called that night but we did not want to worry her, so I have to keep quiet about this. May be she can let Madeira know that the hard core appetizers (antibiotics) really do taste OK and seem to have magical powers. Take care Sis. We had hot and stormy weather this week. I can tell Mom does not like thunder so I show her how to not be afraid and she is getting better at it. On the really hot days I find the AC outlet under the counter is really cool on the head and back of neck. Again a lot of meet and greets- Hi Marie and Karen, thanks for all the loving.
